The Puput Wire quickdraw is the lightest model in the entire Puput family. It features two Puput Wire carabiners —a grey one on top and a green one on the bottom— delivering maximum smoothness during clipping and a significant reduction in total weight. Its clean construction avoids cavities where dirt or ice could accumulate, ensuring reliable performance even in cold or humid environments.
The polyamide sling offers the same stability, stiffness and durability found throughout the Puput range, making it ideal for fast sport climbs, long approaches and routes where every gram counts. It is available in 4 lengths: 12 cm, 18 cm, 24 cm and 35 cm.
The Puput Wire is designed for intensive use in sport climbing and multi-pitch routes, where weight reduction and smooth handling make a real difference.
The name Puput refers to the Catalan bird “Upupa epops”, whose distinctive beak inspired the shape of our carabiner.

- Clipping is lighter, more precise and smoother than ever. The body of the Puput carabiner is shared across all versions featuring identical geometry that provides handling precision, control and balance.
- The Puput family’s balanced geometry ensures excellent handling on both sport routes and long climbs. Puput Wire carabiners (top and bottom): 100 mm height, 64 mm width, 29 mm gate opening, 41 g each.
- The pointed conical nose makes clipping into hangers, pitons or other anchors easier. The softened geometry reduces snagging and allows for intuitive unclipping.
- The wire gate reduces inertia, making clipping more dynamic. Its lower mass reduces the risk of accidental gate opening due to vibration or impact.
- The Puput Wire’s nose has no cavities where dirt, mud or ice could accumulate, ensuring reliable performance even in harsh environments.
- The 10.5 mm wide sling allows the rope to run over a larger radius, extending the lifespan of both rope and carabiner.The triple-layer construction prevents twisting and maintains correct orientation.
- Made from the same material as dynamic climbing ropes for enhanced durability.
- The lower carabiner is held in place by oblique stitching that adapts to its shape.
