How to use the Aspiring Stickclip
The Aspiring Stickclip can help you to confidently tackle high first bolts, protect yourself from potential falls and retrieve quickdraws from the wall. It is versatile, durable and screws onto almost any extendable pole. This instructional guide will demonstrate how to effectively use the Aspiring Stickclip.
Clip a quickdraw through a hanger

1. Slide the top carabiner of your quickdraw through the metal prongs and rope through the bottom carabiner.

2. Extend the poll, slide the top carabiner through the hanger and pull down firmly, making sure not to back clip.
Rope into a quickdraw already on the wall

1. Take a bight of rope with a tail as long as the distance to the hanger, and place it through the center of the stickclip prongs.

2. Loop one side of the rope over one of the prongs.

3. Extend the poll and maneuver the bottom carabiner of the quickdraw inside the large loop of rope.

4. Pull down firmly on the side of the rope not looped over the prong to cinch the rope over the carabiner, making sure not to back clip.
Remove a quickdraw from a hanger
The last draw can be difficult to retrieve especially on overhanging routes & leaving the last draw when cleaning a route is sometimes a safer option than risking a large swing near the ground & other hazards.
This technique can sometimes be a bit tricy depending on the height of the draw and the carabiner you’re attempting to clip. It is recommend to practice on a lower bolt first.

1. Pull down firmly on both ends of the rope to keep the quickdraw steady.

2. Slide the slickclip up the dogbone until the prongs open the top quickdraw and remove from the hanger.
