Canvas bush gaiter

Traditional kiwi-style gaiter made from tough 12 ounce pack cloth, as used in tramping packs. Has doubled heavy-duty elastic at the bottom edge and the ankle. Self closing top, as with the kodra gaiter. Lace hook and webbing loops, dome and velcro rear closure. Stiffened with webbing to keep them up. Small and large, colour blue.

Kodra bush gaiter

A simple and inexpensive gaiter suitable for general tramping, made from 600 denier kodra. Lightweight elastic at the top keeps it closed around the leg. Waisted design for close fit at the ankle, with elastic at the base of the skirt. Velcro and dome rear closure, with a lace hook at the front and webbing loops for tying a cord underneath. Sizes small and large, colours red or navy.

Ankle gaiters (puttees)

Short gaiters are excellent for keeping stones out of boots and seeds off socks. Our Ankle gaiters are fitted with domes and velcro, lace hooks, and eyelets for tying them down.

We offer the option of two different fabrics:

Stuffsacks

Whether you use them as storage bags, pack organisers, or just like having everything neat and tidy, there are never enough stuffsacks to tame the gear. Aspiring stuffsacks are made from waterproofed ripstop nylon and come in sizes XS, small, medium, large and XL.

Some sleeping bags can fill up half your pack. To keep them under control we have our Compression stuffsack . A large capacity and four compression straps means you can shrink your sleeping bag to a manageable size.

Because some sleeping mats are supplied without stuffsacks, we have a range of four stuffsacks made specially for sleeping mats, available at a fraction of the price of some of the imported brand stuffsacks. These come in two lengths - short ones for three-quarter length mats, which are usually folded and then rolled, and long one for full length mats, which are just rolled. For each length there is a narrower stuffsack, which is red, and a wider one which is blue, to suit different thicknesses of mat.

The four sizes, in order from smallest to largest are:

Cocoon sleeping bag liner

Our Cocoon sleeping bag liner is an inexpensive inner made from a polyester material with a feel similar to silk, but is readily washable and will last much longer. It is tapered to fit mummy bags, and the seams are lap-felled (folded and double-sewn), not overlocked.

The Cocoon has a light elastic cord at the top so that it doesn't end up at your waist during the night. Colours are navy, wine, and purple.

Aspiring pack cover

Pack cover

Aspiring pack covers will help to keep your pack and its contents dry. Our pack covers are made from a high-quality ripstop nylon, with polyurethane waterproofing rated to 2000 mm. The shape is close-fitting on most packs to ensure that the water stays out.

For the 2003/04 summer we have introduced a new version of our trust-worthy pack cover, the Tempest. To allow for the windy conditions often encountered in the New Zealand mountains, the Tempest comes with an adjustable shock-cord (bungy) around the edges, and also as a small webbing strap about one-third of the way up, so that it can be fixed tightly on to the pack.

By contrast the long-established Classic model has a light elastic sewn around the hem to keep it in place. Both versions have a drain hole is provided by a small eyelet underneath.

The large size fits a standard full-size tramping pack. Sizes are small, medium and large, all available in colour options of red or blue. There is also an XS size for daypacks, in the Classsic style only.

Mittens

Aspiring Mittens are functional hand protection for mountaineering and winter activities. The shell is a breatheable Milair material, with cordura palm reinforcing. The lining is Polartec® 300 for maximum warmth. There is a light elastic gusset at the wrist, and an elastic keeper loop for retaining the mittens on the wrist when you need to take them off temporarily. A drawstring closure seals out snow, wind, or rain and can be closed or opened easily with one hand.

The shell is available separately. Sizes are small, medium, and large. Colour is purple and blue.
